Prague, Oct 22 - 28, 2005

Rico Hengst, a PhD student from GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam, was invited for a short-term visit to report on his latest results in modeling the effect of the continental water budget on polar motion. The continental hydrology, the atmospheric mass motion and oceanic circulations are the three main effects contributing to the short-time variations of the Earth's rotation.
