Italian model of this naked bike of 80's, looks classical,
but is still extremely powerfull, two floating double piston calipers in
front, one (floating double piston) at the rear wheel
-
The tuned MACH exhaust is probably pushing it stronger
then with those 42 bhp, sounds excellent at 14000 rpm
Some photographs of me and the 400
F beauty:
The tuned MACH exhaust was the
BEST choice...
1983 HONDA CBX 550 F (prod. year
1982), 572ccm; 60 bhp (44 kW) at 10,000 rpm

This is all stock HONDA
CBX 550 FD model, the most powerfull
version imported to Europe (and I guess most powerfull version ever produced...)
-
The max speed is 205 km/h (lying on the tank and praying)

Some technical features here
-this document is copied from Andrew
Mattocks' page
Here it is, equipped with th 4-1
laser exhaust:
Now let's have a closer look at
the motor of 550 with new crankshaft , connecting rods, bearings, pistonns,
rings and cylinders. The rest of the motor parts as you can see are used.
And what about the prerformance?
Well it is an older type of frame, and so some waving
at high speed turns usually appears, however the breaks are good enough,
and the motor... is just a dream!
